I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
