The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Warriors Party

Since the launch of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a wide array of personalities, and a thrilling plot including angels, fiends, and malevolent powers expanding in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

Episode 3 finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of characters who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table features the determined fighter (played by Travis Willingham), the agile character (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Given 13 cast members, it was clear from the beginning that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.

That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, weaving together the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are scarce.

Initially, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might appear out of place, but the actions of the latest installment demonstrate why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the team has a clear idea where to go next after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose passing kicked off the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his own means, invading the hidden lair, attacking the character, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.

Casimir then paid off his debts and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
  • The adventurer knows Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous place.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having resisted his relatives’ demands to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • However, their status as important members in the influential clan could help the party enter places they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his deliverance and will now accompany him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that govern the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The cleric turned against the influential house and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by the clan.

This results in them few options but to head to the northern region in search of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

According to the recent installment’s follow-up content, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around next week, leaving the rest of the players to form the Questers and Planners groups.

Viewers can look forward to learning which players will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
